The sandbag wall caught my back before I knew I was falling. Canvas grit sprayed up around my shoulder, and Mullins's forearm was still pressed flat across my chest plate, pinning me there like a bug on a windshield.

"Point at the page," I said. Low. Almost to myself. "Say nothing."

My left hand never left the logbook.
